SEAGATE announces new solid-state drive

Seagate introduced the drives based on flash memory Seagate 600 SSD, Seagate 600 Pro SSD and Seagate 1200 SSD, as well as Seagate X8 Accelerator.

Seagate 600 SSD - the first drive of the manufacturer, designed for client systems. To connect to the computer they use interface Serial ATA 3.0; capacity - 120, 240 or 480 GB. Discs made in the form factor of 2.5 inches, will be offered in versions with a thick body of 5 and 7 mm. The model 600 Seagate SSD is designed for ultrabooks and laptops.

Drives Seagate 600 Pro SSD designed for enterprise equipment installed in the data center, cloud systems, etc. They are made in 2.5-inch form factor (body thickness is 7 mm), and use the interface Serial ATA 3.0. There modifications 100, 120, 200, 240, 400, and 480 GB.

Seagate drives have a 1200 SSD Interface Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) with a capacity of 12 Gbit / s. They are designed for high-performance enterprise equipment with a heavy load on the storage subsystem. Capacity up to 800 GB, the form factor - 1.8 or 2.5 inches.

Seagate X8 Accelerator SSD is a PCIe expansion card with high speed. Reported ROE IOPS (input / output operations per second) is equal to 1,100,000, capacity - up to 2.2 TB.
