Asus finally released a new model of hybrid ultrabook Taichi with two displays

Asus has announced the upcoming release of a new hybrid ultrabook with two displays, the Taichi 31 and pre-installed operating system Windows 8. Its previous model Taichi 21 became the world's first hybrid ultrabook with two displays.

The basis of Taichi 31 is a processor Intel Core i7-3517U (there is an option to the processor Core i5). Computer supplied 4GB of DDR3 RAM and two Full HD-display diagonal of 13.3 inches on either side of the cover. Thus, the device can function as both a laptop and tablet. In addition to these two modes, there are two modes - a mirror image (the external display shows the contents of the display) and a mode that uses two displays at once.

Available are 2-port USB 3.0, SSD drive 128 or 256 GB, ports, micro HDMI and mini VGA, as well as a card reader 3-in-1. In tablet mode, there is support for a stylus with 256 levels of sensitivity. The weight of the hybrid ultrabook is just over 1.5 pounds.

It appears, however, that in the low-end model for dual displays battery drains down quickly. Perhaps the elimination of this deficiency caused the delay of it in the market. The exact release date and price is still unknown. Taichi 21 is in the U.S. for $ 1300.
