Badland: Apple's Editor's Choice Award for the First Week of April
This week’s Apple’s Editor’s Choice awards goes to Badland. This application is fun to play because of its side-scrolling adventure.
An overview of how this game played:
One will be controlling a black circle which is called a “clone” through a perfidious forest full of mines that would explode if touched and circling blades that could chop the clone that you are controlling in to bits if collided.
In order for you to avoid the obstacles you need to tap the screen to maneuver the clone from it. Also you need to get through those fences as quickly as possible because the background screen will always be moving forward and if catch up with the clone and cornered it into something, that clone would eventually die.
Along through the game you can gather extra clones that would be simultaneously moving with each other’s end. The main objective of this game is to collect more clones and make them live until you end up in the finish line.
There are also somewhat like runes that are shaped like light bulbs that you need to get in order for your clones to shrink or to expand so that the clones can pass through different sizes of passageways.
Just in case you want to play with your friends, Badland can also be played in multiplayer manner with up to 4 players in one game. The objective is still the same, the player who gets to the finish line with the more clones wins it.
All in all this game is very thrill and adventurous with all the dark graphics and effects, no wonder it was chosen as the editor’s choice for this week.
