Minox Introduces a New Miniature Retro Camera DCC 14.0
Retro Camera DCC 14.0 |
The company recently
released a new version of the Minox miniature digital camera Minox DCC 14.0. New
collected in 1:3 scale, easily fits in the palm of your hand. The device is
equipped with a 14-megapixel sensor, non-removable lens and an optical viewfinder.
In fact, Minox DCC 14.0 is a collectible item, rather than a device for
photographing, although it reserves the more-or-less full functionality.
Minox did not mention the size of the CMOS sensor used in
the device. But, judging by the statement that its 7.4-mm lens with aperture
2.4 provides the focal length, equivalent to approximately 35 - or 45-millimeter
format, we can assume that it is 1/2, 5-inch sensor (5,76 × 4,29 mm).
Despite the fact that the retro design innovations
suggest the manual settings, the camera is automatic – the rings and switches
perform only a decorative function.
Minox DCC 14.0 saves the captured images in JPEG, and
video - AVI (640 × 480), and writes it to the SD-card. The camera boasts a 4x
zoom. Size LCD-display on the back is 2 inches. Cost new is $ 240.
